It is against HIPAA guidelines for me to disclose past, current clients personal information in any capacity without written Release of Information or legal contract. There have been past exceptions where I shared artwork without specific personal information with a release of information or media policy approval. I will not disclose identifying information about a patient or sessions in my posts, videos, or live streams related to clients, past or current.

I do not uphold personal relationships with past or current clients in any capacity. If you are to initiate professional contact with me, please use the original contact whether that’s through my academic email as a student, previous avademic colleague through my academic email, MyChart through my current employer, or annectoterollc@gmail.com if you received professional services. Direct messages on social media are not the appropriate route for your privacy or mine.

Due to me being on social media platforms both as a seller on Whatnot, Inc. and selling physical products online, there are opportunities to leave reviews. If there is a current concern and I am providing care or services, please follow-up with me directly. I do not expect you to review my practice or products on online platforms and if you do, I will not engage back with the review or comments. This is to protect privacy of you and me.

Within my practice, it is not regular to search my clients on social media platforms or search engines such as Google or related. There are rare exceptions where this may occur in times of crisis where someone is at risk to themselves or others. If I have a reason to except you’re in danger in any capacity and I cannot get in touch with you in our usual ways (i.e., appointments, phone calls, emails, MyChart, or related) then I may utilize search engines to look for you or someone close to you re: status updates. If this does occur, I will document the reason.

In regards to meeting with me in-person in any of my employment places, please be aware of your location-based tracking on your phone. That can be through apps, your phone itself, or informing someone you may know of the location (i.e., friend, family, employer, partner, roommate, etc.). Please be aware that apps that also have full access to your location may be aware, as well. Please review your settings and consult professionals who are familiar with location-based services to ensure your privacy is respected and your choices are respected.
