“The greatest victory has been to be able to live with myself, to accept my shortcomings…I’m a long way from the human being I’d like to be. But I’ve decided I’m not so bad after all.”

— Audrey Hepburn

Quick Overview: I am an author, therapist, AAMFT Approved Supervisor, and have twenty years of experience in behavioral health. My expertise includes but not limited to adults with ADHD, loss from suicide and grief, perfectionism, and relationships.

Additional Information: I have been through tragic loss, major medical conditions, and last-minute life events. The point of sharing this is not to take the energy away from you but to illicit a comfort that I have learned to walk through the flames and learned to not sit in the embers. I don’t fear tragedy, I recognize pain is something that happens in life, rather than “to us.” I combine neuroscience, evidenced-based practices, and experience to uphold a safe place for you and whoever is on this journey with you.

I am made of many parts.

My professional work is one slice of who I am. They reflect some of my passions, interests and ways I like helping living creatures outside of my own skin. Please read below to read more about my professional roles within mental health services, coaching, teaching and training, mentorship, as well as consultation. Please click “Projects” to see more personal work and efforts.

  • A Therapist.

I have been training as a therapist since 2010, I have been licensed since 2016, and continue to uphold my license and is currently in good standing with the State of Wisconsin. It is a large part of who I am and what I believe works: Commitment to evolving on your own terms whether through science or believing in something bigger. As a therapist, I learned the essential components of the human body, Neuroscience, Psychology, Philosophy, relationships and how they both help and hinder our personal development. As a therapist I value goal setting, results, ethics, and evidenced-based practices. My experience in formal healthcare settings and leadership roles have advanced an understanding of the human condition and harnessing out strengths in professional settings.

  • A Believer.

My working definition of this is, “I believe in things bigger than myself and beyond my human skin.” I believe in higher powers, higher grids, energy, and faith in a general sense impact every day life. My expertise is within finding faith, understanding faith, and finding community within that faith that fits your growth. I identify as a Healer’s Practitioner. I have high comfort working with individuals who have been in the healing fields a long time. It isn’t just a comfort, it’s a calling. I will work through topics others may not want to discuss like perfectionism, vicarious trauma, intuition, and sometimes just sitting with what it is like to work with people right now. I have 20+ years experience working with faith. Although I am a believer of God, all spirituality and religion is welcome here.

  • A Supervisor, Trainer, Mentor.

I an AAMFT Approved Supervisor and will continue to uphold this standing moving forward. I am a professor in the field of Marriage and Family therapy, value training and clinical education, and the mentorship roles associated with this honor of working alongside future practitioners. I also have experience as a Mentor to those seeking AAMFT Approved Supervisor status. I have a firm belief in parallel process, human condition, science and evidence-base, humor, growth, and reflective models. I don't want to create minions or copycats. I want you to develop your own style and grow from your own lens and expertise. I want to hear more from your mind and your interests. You are the future and I am honored to work and evolve alongside you.

  • A Recovering Perfectionist.

As a Recovering Perfectionist, I understand sometimes the physical pain and uncomfortability that comes with not completing tasks, feeling a need for something to be a certain way, and also a production/result-obsessed mind where exceeding expectations is the new meets expectations. Long story short, I practice what I preach. I don't believe in working against symptoms but working with and learning how to reduce and manage intensity so life is more fulfilling.

  • An Artist.

Art has been a protective factor for me since I was young. Whether through mental health recovery, faith, or being a neurodivergent human that has way a lot of hobbies: Art brings me peace. Ways that art shows up for me is as a published author, published poet, podcast owner of “Skull Meatloaf” since 2020, or with my handpicked jade pieces I now share with all of you. These are the ways I feel free and express myself. Please check out “Things to Consider” by Anne C. Totero for just a slight sliver of my skull.

  • A Coach and Consultant

As a coach and consultant, I am here to help. Ever since I was young my ability to not only be a leader but also be flexible in finding solutions. It takes someone with a forward, determined, and flexible mind to think outside the box. Every individual's needs are different, every business' needs are also different. I want to work with you to tailor what you need to keep healthy relationships in the current workforce. Employee health, retention, performance improvement, quality assurance are all areas I am familiar with in healthcare and helper field(s).
